At work today we had my ipod playing out the back..
My man was going through it and he chucked on The Game – The Documentary. In my eyes it is easily his best album, but haters will protest that it has productions by Dre, Kanye West, Just Blaze, Timbaland and Cool & Dre so how could it not be good? + it has guest features from 50, Nate Dogg, Slim Shady, Mary J, Busta Bust and Faith Evans.
The whole album is Game trying to get respect back to the westside, which i think somebody had to do sooner or later, and Game does have skills but i think that is why Dre was so keen to jump on board and make him successful, to get the power back to the west.
The album is pretty tight start to finish, whenever i put it on 75% of the time i play it start to finish. The production is very clean and a lot of good beats on there but i think most of the lyrics go with the beats and match them quality-wise.
I think the first few times i played this my favorite songs were – Dreams, Hate it or Love It(who doesnt love 50 and Game together) & Start from Scratch.. Then my mate loved No More Fun and Games, and played that constantly then that grew on me. Then i was listening to The Documentary and i heard ” I’m ready to die without a reasonable doubt, smoke chronic and hit it doggy style before I go out, until they sign my death certificate, all eye’s on me, I’m still at it, Illmatic and that’s “The Documentary“‘. Around this time i read how when he was recovering in hospital he studied these 7 classic hiphop albums and tried to learn as much of them as possible, and then in the Title track he drops all of them in one line.
Then tonight my mate put on We Ain’t, i really listened to it and forgot how good Slims verse was, and i’m not sure if id forgotten or didnt realise before, after Slims verse Game comes back with
Low get Dre on the phone quick
Tell him Eminem just killed me on my own shit
I’m walking through 8 mile, startin’ to get home sick
I’ma do Shady numbers, I’m ridin’ my own dick
Wow.

This game is plain stupid.
Stupid as in a good way.
This came out monday night for a midnight release, and about 15 different ppl i know had it on their facebook status’ by 1 am, i was up working on some designs, and i just checked my facey and people would not shut up about it. Then last night, i came home from work, realised i have the next 2 days off and thought about COD. Next thing you know im at JB Hi-Fi with it in my hands.
The game is a joke, it has more hype than Jordan did when he won his first title coming and like Jordan goes well beyond the hype.
Any ps3 or xbox or whatever console u have, get it!
